If you are using Vista and have been attempting to access voice chat in the Yahoo chat rooms you may notice that the talk button is greyed out. This happens because Vista doesn't ship with the TSP codec ( true speech codec) that is required to activate voice chat. Once you've installed it, reboot your computer and try to activate Yahoo chat again.
This is the first step in rectifying the voice chat problems. If this isn't working for you, you may have to plug either a microphone or headset into the microphone jack. This is a sure fire way to get things working again in Yahoo chat.
Also if you guys find the link above doesn't work let me know I'll keep looking around for other sources for the codec
