Alternatives to itunes

like me, many of you might find itunes to be a little cumbersome to use. First off it's a fairly resource intensive program and can eat up quite a bit of your computer's power. Next, you can't transfer music from your ipod to your computer using itunes (not that I've been able to see anyway). From what i understand you need to make it so that your computer so that it recognizes the ipod as a hard disk, that's a whole different conversation so we'll save that for another discussion.

Frusrtrating huh? Well fear no more, I'd like to introduce you to Floola, a third part application that works in place of itunes. Floola is a simple program that doesn't take up alot of your computer's resources, it uses the same drag and drop features of itunes but looks alot less...what's the word...sexy! Now if you can't live without the aesthetic beauty of itunes then forget the rest of this posting, but if aesthetics isn't for you read on.

The main advantage that Floola has over itunes is....(drum roll please) you can actually transfer music from your ipod back to your computer! For me, that's enough to make the switch and although there isn't much else different that itunes, this difference is enough for most. If you'd like to download floola head over to http://www.floola.com/modules/wiwimod/ and hit the "download" tab.
